The term nutritionist has no legal definition. Therefore anyone can call themselves a nutritionist. Some nutritionists may have college degrees in subjects such as biology or physiology, but this is not the same as having the specialized training and education of a Registered Dietitian.

What exactly is included in a lifestyle?

A lifestyle is the way a person lives and it includes their attitudes, identity, behaviors and habits.  Health and lifestyle are related through food choices, weight maintenance, exercise, fitness and the avoidance of harmful behaviors such as smoking and substance abuse.  It may also include stress management, personal hygiene, sleep patterns, relationships and regular medical care.

Our programs address all aspects of a healthy lifestyle.

If my goal is weight loss what kind of results can I expect?

You should expect to lose a maximum of 1-2 pounds per week but how much you lose is really up to you.  We know that losing weight too quickly is associated with a return of the weight, and often the addition of more weight than before. Our goal is for you to have lasting change, therefore we encourage gradual weight loss.

In the end, how much you lose will depend on how much change you are willing to accept and how rapidly you progress.
